In Japan, road congestion costs the economy more than 10 trillion yen ($80 billion) annually. In the city, sometimes it takes half an hour to go to a place 10 kilometers away, which is a waste of time. According to the World Health Organization, about 1.3 million people die in road traffic accidents every year around the world.

While there is no one-size-fits-all solution to these problems, roads that take advantage of the vast sky rather than the ground can be an option. The reason this seems like an empty phrase at the moment is the lack of a battery that is light and powerful enough to levitate a car in the air. The era to come can no longer rely on burning fossil fuels to fly.
