Air batteries are getting closer
Time : 2022.04.18
According to the "Nihon Keizai Shimbun" report on April 17, the ultimate storage battery that uses air to make electricity is expected to appear in the near future. It is also called an air battery. The battery does not require conventional electrodes and is one-fifth the weight of existing lithium batteries. There is fierce competition between Korean and Chinese companies around the development of air batteries.
Key technologies for flying cars
The industry is striving to popularize flying cars after the 1930s, and batteries that take into account lightness and capacity will become one of the indispensable power sources for flying cars.
In Japan, road congestion costs the economy more than 10 trillion yen ($80 billion) annually. In the city, sometimes it takes half an hour to go to a place 10 kilometers away, which is a waste of time. According to the World Health Organization, about 1.3 million people die in road traffic accidents every year around the world.
While there is no one-size-fits-all solution to these problems, roads that take advantage of the vast sky rather than the ground can be an option. The reason this seems like an empty phrase at the moment is the lack of a battery that is light and powerful enough to levitate a car in the air. The era to come can no longer rely on burning fossil fuels to fly.
